Bags Warranty

Sports Circuit assists with eligible manufacturer warranty claims for racquet bags, paddle bags, backpacks, duffel bags, totes and related sports bags purchased directly from us.

A bag warranty is intended to address qualifying defects in materials, components or workmanship. It is separate from the Sports Circuit Return and Refund Policy and does not guarantee an immediate refund, exchange or replacement.

Important: Warranty periods, exclusions and available remedies vary by brand and product. The manufacturer's warranty terms applicable to the bag govern the claim, and the manufacturer makes the final coverage decision.

Warranty Period and Eligibility

Unless a manufacturer states otherwise, eligible bag concerns should generally be reported within three months of the original purchase date. Certain brands, collections or models may provide a shorter or longer warranty period.

A claim may depend on:

  • The bag brand and model
  • The original purchase date
  • Whether the customer is the original purchaser
  • Proof that the bag was purchased from Sports Circuit
  • The manufacturer's warranty period and terms
  • The location, appearance and likely cause of the issue
  • The bag's overall condition and signs of use
  • Whether the bag was used within its intended capacity and purpose

Keep your Sports Circuit receipt or order confirmation for the duration of the applicable warranty period.

What May Qualify for Review

A bag may qualify for manufacturer review when a component or structural area fails unexpectedly during normal intended use and there is no evidence of overloading, abrasion, accidental damage or improper care.

Examples that may require assessment include:

  • A zipper slider, pull or track that fails because of an apparent component defect
  • A seam or stitched area that opens without evidence of excessive load or abrasion
  • A shoulder strap, backpack strap or carry handle separating at its original attachment point
  • A buckle, clip or adjustment component failing during normal use
  • An interior lining or exterior panel separating because of an apparent construction issue
  • A base, divider or reinforced section failing in a way that may be related to workmanship
  • Another issue that may reasonably be attributable to manufacturing

These examples do not confirm warranty coverage. The manufacturer may review the bag's wear pattern, contents, load, age, care and surrounding damage before reaching a decision.

What Is Usually Not Covered

Manufacturer warranties generally do not cover normal deterioration, cosmetic changes, accidental damage or damage caused by using the bag beyond its intended purpose or capacity.

Common exclusions may include:

  • Normal wear and tear from regular carrying, travel or court use
  • Scuffs, scratches, fading, discolouration, stains or other cosmetic changes
  • Wear to corners, piping, base panels, fabric, mesh or printed graphics
  • Damage caused by overfilling or carrying excessive weight
  • Damage caused by dragging the bag across floors, pavement or rough surfaces
  • Cuts, punctures, tears or snags caused by sharp objects or external contact
  • Damage caused by dropping, crushing, impact, airline handling or other transportation
  • Damage caused by forcing a zipper or closing it around trapped fabric or equipment
  • Damage caused by spills, wet gear, moisture, mould, odour or improper drying
  • Damage caused by excessive heat, cold, sunlight or improper storage
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, improper cleaning or unsuitable chemicals
  • Pet damage, pest damage or contamination
  • Unauthorized sewing, gluing, patching, alterations or other repairs
  • Products with removed, altered or unreadable labels or identifying information
  • Products purchased used, as-is, as a demo or from another retailer
  • Loss, theft or damage to racquets, paddles, footwear, electronics or other items stored inside the bag

A damaged zipper, seam or strap is not automatically a manufacturing defect. The surrounding fabric, load stress, abrasion and overall condition may help identify the most likely cause.

Zippers, Seams, Straps and Handles

Zippers and load-bearing attachments are among the most frequently used parts of a sports bag. Gradual wear, stretched stitching and abrasion in these areas can develop through normal use and are generally not covered.

A zipper concern may be considered for review when the slider, pull or track fails unexpectedly without being forced, overloaded or obstructed. A seam, strap or handle concern may be reviewed when the original attachment fails under a reasonable load and there is no evidence of tearing, cutting or external damage.

Stop using the bag if a strap, handle or closure appears unsafe. Continued use can worsen the damage, affect nearby materials and make the original cause more difficult to assess.

Bag Use and Care

To reduce avoidable damage:

  • Use the bag only for its intended sport and carrying purpose
  • Do not exceed the stated racquet, paddle, footwear or equipment capacity
  • Distribute weight across compartments rather than concentrating it in one area
  • Do not force zippers when the bag is overfilled or fabric is caught in the track
  • Carry the bag using the handles or straps designed for that purpose
  • Keep sharp objects covered and separated from the bag's fabric and lining
  • Remove wet clothing, towels and footwear promptly after use
  • Allow the bag to air dry fully before storage
  • Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions
  • Store the bag in a dry location away from direct heat and prolonged sunlight

Machine washing, tumble drying or using harsh cleaners may damage coatings, foam, adhesives, printed graphics and hardware unless the manufacturer specifically permits those methods.

Information Required for a Claim

To begin a warranty request, provide:

  • Your full name
  • Your Sports Circuit order number or receipt
  • The bag brand, model, colour and size
  • The original purchase date
  • The date the issue was first noticed
  • A detailed explanation of what happened and how the bag was being used
  • A description of the equipment and approximate load normally carried

Please include clear photographs showing:

  • The complete front and back of the bag
  • Both sides, the base and the top of the bag
  • The claimed defect from several angles
  • The interior lining and surrounding material when relevant
  • The complete zipper track, slider and pull when the claim involves a zipper
  • All strap, handle, buckle and attachment points when relevant
  • The product label, style code, serial number or other identifying information
  • The bag's overall condition

A short video may also be requested when the concern involves a zipper, buckle, adjustment mechanism or movement that cannot be shown clearly in photographs.

Preserve the Bag for Inspection

Until claim instructions are provided:

  • Do not continue using the bag if further damage may occur
  • Do not sew, glue, tape, patch or otherwise repair the claimed area
  • Do not remove labels, zipper components, buckles or loose parts
  • Do not wash or apply cleaners to the claimed area
  • Do not discard broken or separated components
  • Keep the receipt, original tags and packaging when available
  • Do not ship the bag until authorization and shipping instructions are provided

Altering or repairing the bag before inspection may prevent the manufacturer from identifying the original cause and may affect warranty eligibility.

Claim Review Process

After receiving a complete submission, Sports Circuit may:

  • Verify the purchase and authorized-retailer details
  • Review the photographs, video and description provided
  • Request additional images or information
  • Ask for the bag to be brought to Sports Circuit for an initial inspection
  • Submit the claim to the manufacturer on the customer's behalf
  • Provide instructions for a direct manufacturer claim when required
  • Arrange shipment to the manufacturer's warranty centre for physical inspection

Some claims can be assessed using photographs. Other claims require the physical bag and proof of purchase. Do not send the bag to Sports Circuit or the manufacturer until the correct authorization and destination have been confirmed.

Manufacturer Decision and Available Remedies

The manufacturer determines whether the claim qualifies and what remedy, if any, will be provided.

An approved claim may result in:

  • Repair of the bag or affected component
  • Replacement with the same model
  • Replacement with a comparable model when the original is unavailable
  • A replacement part when one is offered
  • A manufacturer credit or voucher
  • Another remedy permitted under the applicable warranty terms

The customer may not be able to select the replacement model, colour or size. Approval of a warranty claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a cash refund from Sports Circuit.

A replacement bag may remain subject to the original warranty period rather than beginning a new warranty. The manufacturer's terms determine the coverage applicable to any replacement product.

Shipping and Related Costs

Depending on the manufacturer's policy, the customer may be responsible for shipping the bag to Sports Circuit or the warranty centre.

Possible costs may include:

  • Shipping the bag for inspection
  • Returning a bag when the claim is declined
  • Shipping an approved replacement
  • Optional repairs or services not covered by the warranty

Known charges will be communicated before shipment whenever reasonably possible.

Processing Time

Initial manufacturer review commonly takes several business days after a complete submission is received. Claims requiring physical inspection, shipping or replacement inventory can take longer.

Sports Circuit will assist with reasonable follow-up but cannot guarantee the manufacturer's processing time, coverage decision or replacement availability.
