Choose your string and tension
Start with the feel you want, how often you play, and how often you break strings. Tell us your current setup so we can help you make a useful change.
Durability & everyday play
BG65 is a practical starting point when you want an all-round string with an emphasis on abrasion resistance.
A sharper response
BG65 Titanium offers a sharp, comfortable impact feel. Consider it if you want a different response while staying with a 0.70 mm string.
Firm feel & attacking play
BG80 and BG80 Power suit players who prefer a solid response. Their 0.68 mm construction offers a different feel from BG65.
Finding the right tension
Your racquet’s recommended range is the starting point. Within that range, a lower tension generally feels more forgiving; a higher tension feels firmer and demands more consistent contact. Higher is not automatically better.
Bring your racquet model, current tension if known, playing experience, and the type of shuttle you use. Tell us whether you want easier length, a firmer response, or longer string life. We can discuss a setup within your frame’s limits.
From drop-off to your next game
1. Bring your racquet
Bring your current racquet and your own strings if you are supplying them. Let us know about any visible frame or grommet damage.
2. Discuss your setup
Choose your string and tension with our team. Confirm the total price and expected collection time before leaving your racquet.
3. Collect & play
Keep a note of your string and tension. After a few sessions, use that reference to decide what you would like to keep or adjust next time.
Common questions
Can I bring my own strings?
Yes. Labour is $25 plus tax. Bring a string set suitable for badminton and confirm there is enough length for your racquet.
Can you string my racquet the same day?
Completion time depends on the current queue. Call 905-929-0707 with your deadline before making the trip so we can confirm what is possible.
When should I restring?
Broken strings need replacing. You may also want a fresh setup when strings are visibly worn or fraying, or when the feel and response have changed noticeably. Frequency depends on your string, tension and playing time.
What if my frame or grommets are damaged?
Let us know before restringing. View our repair enquiry guide for the photos and details to send. Repair options depend on the racquet and damage.
