General Product Warranty
This page covers accessories, training equipment and other products sold by Sports Circuit that do not have a separate category-specific warranty page.
Sports Circuit is an authorized Canadian retailer for the brands and products we sell. When a manufacturer warranty is available, its coverage, duration, exclusions and remedies are determined by that manufacturer.
There is no single warranty period that applies to every general product. Each concern is reviewed according to the product, the claimed issue, the purchase date and the manufacturer’s terms in effect for that item.
What This Warranty Is For
Possible defects in materials, components or workmanship that arise during normal and intended use within the applicable manufacturer coverage period.
Who Makes the Decision
Sports Circuit can help gather the claim information and communicate with the manufacturer. The manufacturer makes the final coverage and resolution decision.
Products Covered by This Page
This general warranty information may apply to items such as:
- Sports accessories and small equipment
- Training aids and practice equipment
- Protective equipment and supports
- Replacement parts and non-consumable components
- Electronics or measuring devices sold by Sports Circuit
- Other products that do not fall under a dedicated warranty category
Rackets, pickleball paddles, shoes and bags may have separate warranty information. Visit the Product Warranties page to select the most appropriate category.
What May Qualify as a Warranty Issue
A product may be considered for warranty review when it appears to have failed because of a manufacturing or material defect during normal use.
Examples may include:
- A component separating or breaking without unusual force or impact
- A mechanism, closure or adjustment system failing prematurely
- An electronic feature not operating as intended under normal conditions
- A structural defect that affects the product’s intended function
- Missing or incorrectly assembled components present at the time of purchase
These examples do not guarantee approval. The product and circumstances must still be assessed under the applicable manufacturer policy.
Common Exclusions
Unless the manufacturer states otherwise, warranty coverage generally does not include:
- Normal wear and tear from regular use
- Cosmetic scratches, scuffs, chips, fading or discolouration
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, impact, collision or excessive force
- Damage caused by improper installation, assembly, cleaning or maintenance
- Damage caused by heat, cold, moisture, chemicals or unsuitable storage
- Products that have been modified, altered or repaired without authorization
- Batteries, grips, tapes, strings, balls, shuttlecocks and other consumable items
- Lost parts or damage caused by missing maintenance or loose hardware
- Products with removed, altered or unreadable serial numbers, labels or identification
- Products purchased from another retailer, marketplace seller or unauthorized source
Before You Submit a Claim
- Stop using the product if continued use could make the damage worse
- Keep the product and every loose or broken component
- Do not attempt a repair, modification or disassembly
- Keep your Sports Circuit receipt or order number
- Keep the original packaging when reasonably possible
- Take clear photos before cleaning or changing the condition of the product
Information Required for a Claim
Email admin@sportscircuit.ca with the following information:
- Your full name and preferred contact information
- Your Sports Circuit order number or receipt
- The product brand, name, model, size or variation
- A clear explanation of the issue and when it was first noticed
- A brief description of how the product was being used when the issue occurred
- Photos showing the complete product from multiple angles
- Close-up photos or video showing the claimed defect
- A photo of the serial number, batch code, hologram, QR code or product label, when applicable
Claims without sufficient proof of purchase or clear supporting images may be delayed or may not be eligible for review.
How the Review Process Works
- Sports Circuit reviews the information provided and confirms whether anything else is needed.
- We may ask for additional photos, video, packaging details or a physical inspection of the product.
- When required, Sports Circuit sends the claim information and proof of purchase to the manufacturer or Canadian distributor.
- The manufacturer assesses the issue under its warranty terms and communicates its decision.
- Sports Circuit then provides the customer with the decision and available next steps.
Review times vary by brand, product and the information required. Submitting a claim does not guarantee that it will be approved.
Possible Warranty Resolutions
Depending on the manufacturer’s policy, product availability and the nature of the defect, an approved claim may result in:
- Repair of the original product
- Replacement with the same product
- Replacement with a reasonably comparable product
- Store credit or manufacturer credit
- Another remedy authorized by the manufacturer
A cash refund is not automatically provided for an approved warranty claim. Any shipping, inspection or handling charge required by the manufacturer will be communicated before the claim is completed.
Returns and Warranty Claims Are Different
A regular return concerns whether an eligible item can be returned during the Sports Circuit return period. A warranty claim concerns a possible product defect and is assessed under the manufacturer’s warranty terms.
A product that is outside the regular return period may still be reviewed for warranty coverage. Likewise, a product being submitted for warranty review does not automatically qualify for an immediate refund, exchange or replacement.
For regular returns and exchanges, review the Sports Circuit Return and Refund Policy.
Sending Photos and Video
Use clear, well-lit images that show both the full product and the affected area. Avoid sending only extreme close-ups, since the manufacturer may need to see the product’s overall condition.
When an email provider blocks large attachments, send the files in separate messages or include a shareable cloud-storage link. Please make sure the link can be opened without requesting access.
Important: Manufacturer policies can change. The terms applicable to the specific product and claim will govern, even when they differ from the general information on this page.
