Shoes Warranty
Sports Circuit assists with eligible manufacturer warranty claims for court shoes purchased directly from us. This includes footwear intended for badminton, pickleball, tennis, squash and other indoor or outdoor court sports.
A footwear warranty is intended to address qualifying defects in materials or workmanship. It is separate from the Sports Circuit Return and Refund Policy and does not guarantee an immediate refund, exchange or replacement.
Important: Warranty periods, exclusions and remedies vary by manufacturer, model and country of distribution. The manufacturer's applicable warranty terms govern the claim, and the manufacturer makes the final decision regarding coverage.
Warranty Period and Eligibility
Many court-shoe manufacturers review qualifying defects reported within six months of purchase. Some brands use a shorter period, require claims to be submitted sooner, or assess footwear on a case-by-case basis. The warranty period published by the manufacturer for the specific product will apply.
A claim may depend on:
- The shoe brand, model and intended court use
- The original purchase date
- Whether the claimant is the original purchaser
- Proof that the footwear was purchased from Sports Circuit
- The manufacturer's warranty period and claim requirements
- The location, appearance and likely cause of the issue
- The condition of both shoes and their wear patterns
- The court surface and frequency of use
Keep your Sports Circuit receipt or order confirmation for the duration of the applicable warranty period.
What May Qualify for Review
A shoe may qualify for manufacturer review when a component fails unexpectedly during normal use on an appropriate court surface and there is no evidence of excessive wear, accidental damage, alteration or misuse.
Examples that may require assessment include:
- An eyelet or lace loop tearing because of an apparent construction defect
- Premature separation between the upper and the sole caused by faulty bonding
- Stitching opening in an area that has not been heavily abraded or damaged
- A structural panel separating from its original attachment point
- A heel counter, support component or reinforcement failing during normal court use
- A material flaw that affects the shoe's intended performance or safe use
- Another issue that may reasonably be attributable to manufacturing
These examples do not confirm coverage. The manufacturer may assess the age of the shoes, wear level, court surface, movement pattern, care and surrounding damage before reaching a decision.
What Is Usually Not Covered
Court shoes are performance products that naturally wear with use. Manufacturer warranties generally do not cover normal deterioration, cosmetic changes, improper fit, accidental damage or damage caused by using the shoes outside their intended purpose.
Common exclusions may include:
- Normal outsole wear, loss of tread or reduced traction from regular play
- Wear at the toe caused by pivoting, lunging, sliding or toe dragging
- Abrasion to the upper, toe guard, heel, sidewall or interior lining
- Creasing, fading, staining, discolouration or other cosmetic changes
- Damage caused by concrete, asphalt, streets, gym floors or other unsuitable surfaces
- Damage caused by impact, cuts, punctures, snagging or contact with sharp objects
- Damage caused by improper sizing, loose lacing or excessive movement inside the shoe
- Blisters, pressure points, discomfort or personal fit preferences after use
- Damage caused by moisture, wet storage, mould, odour or improper drying
- Damage caused by machine washing, tumble drying, heaters or harsh cleaning products
- Damage caused by excessive heat, cold, sunlight or improper storage
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, abuse or participation outside the intended sport
- Footwear that has been customized, altered or previously repaired
- Self-inflicted damage or damage caused while attempting a repair
- Laces, removable insoles and other replaceable components affected by ordinary use
- Products purchased used, as-is, as a demo or from another retailer
- Products with removed, altered or unreadable labels or identifying information
Court Use and Wear Patterns
Footwear wear patterns can help distinguish a manufacturing concern from normal use. Court movement places concentrated stress on the toe, medial forefoot, lateral sidewall, heel and outsole. Wear in these areas may develop faster for players who lunge, slide, pivot or drag a foot during play.
Uneven wear between the left and right shoe is not automatically a defect. It may reflect the player's movement, dominant side, court position or playing surface. For this reason, photographs of both shoes are required even when only one shoe appears affected.
Stop using the shoes if the sole separates or the structure feels unsafe. Continued play can increase the damage and may make the original cause more difficult to assess.
Fit and Trial Use
Before wearing shoes for play, confirm the size and fit indoors on a clean surface. Once footwear shows court wear, dirt, creasing or other signs of use, it may no longer qualify for a regular return even when the customer later decides that the fit is unsuitable.
A fit concern is different from a manufacturing defect. Review the Sports Circuit Return and Refund Policy for return eligibility on unworn footwear.
Shoe Care
To reduce avoidable damage:
- Use the shoes only on the surface and for the sport they were designed for
- Loosen the laces before putting the shoes on or taking them off
- Use all intended eyelets and lace the shoes securely without overtightening
- Do not force your foot into the shoe while the laces are tied
- Allow shoes to dry naturally after play
- Remove damp insoles when appropriate and let the interior ventilate
- Clean using the manufacturer's recommended method
- Do not use a washing machine, dryer, radiator or direct high heat
- Store footwear in a dry, ventilated place away from prolonged sunlight
- Rotate footwear when frequent play does not allow enough drying time
Information Required for a Claim
To begin a warranty request, provide:
- Your full name
- Your Sports Circuit order number or receipt
- The shoe brand, model, colour and size
- The original purchase date
- The date the issue was first noticed
- A detailed description of what happened
- The sport, court surface and approximate frequency of use
- Whether the shoes have been cleaned, altered or repaired
Please include clear photographs showing:
- The complete top of both shoes placed side by side
- The complete outsoles of both shoes placed side by side
- The inside and outside sidewalls of both shoes
- The heel and toe areas of both shoes
- The claimed issue from several close and wider angles
- The surrounding material, stitching and sole area
- The size and product labels inside both shoes
- The interior and removable insoles when relevant
- Any serial number, production code or identifier under the insole, when present
- The overall condition and wear level of both shoes
A short video may also be requested when movement, separation or another issue cannot be shown clearly in photographs.
Preserve the Shoes for Inspection
Until claim instructions are provided:
- Stop using the shoes if continued play may worsen the issue
- Do not glue, sew, tape or otherwise repair the claimed area
- Do not remove labels, sole components or loose pieces
- Do not wash or apply cleaners to the claimed area
- Do not discard either shoe, the insoles or separated components
- Keep the receipt, original box and packaging when available
- Do not ship the shoes until authorization and instructions are provided
Repairing, cleaning or altering the footwear before assessment may prevent the manufacturer from identifying the original cause and may affect eligibility.
Claim Review Process
After receiving a complete submission, Sports Circuit may:
- Verify the purchase and authorized-retailer details
- Review the photographs, video and description provided
- Request additional images or information
- Ask for both shoes to be brought to Sports Circuit for an initial inspection
- Submit the claim to the manufacturer on the customer's behalf
- Provide instructions for a direct manufacturer claim when required
- Arrange shipment to a warranty centre for physical inspection
Some claims can be assessed using photographs. Other claims require both shoes and proof of purchase to be physically inspected. Do not send footwear to Sports Circuit or the manufacturer until the correct authorization and destination have been confirmed.
Manufacturer Decision and Remedies
The manufacturer determines whether the claim qualifies and what remedy, if any, will be provided.
An approved claim may result in:
- Replacement with the same model and size
- Replacement with a comparable model when the original is unavailable
- A manufacturer credit or voucher
- Repair when offered by the manufacturer
- Another remedy permitted under the applicable warranty terms
The customer may not be able to select the replacement colour or model. Approval of a warranty claim does not automatically entitle the customer to a cash refund from Sports Circuit.
Replacement footwear may remain subject to the original warranty period rather than beginning a new warranty. The manufacturer's terms determine the coverage applicable to any replacement product.
Shipping and Related Costs
Depending on the manufacturer's policy, the customer may be responsible for delivering or shipping both shoes to Sports Circuit or the warranty centre.
Possible costs may include:
- Shipping the shoes for inspection
- Returning footwear when the claim is declined
- Shipping an approved replacement
- Optional repairs or services not covered by the warranty
Known charges will be communicated before shipment whenever reasonably possible.
Processing Time
An initial manufacturer response commonly takes approximately 2 to 10 business days after a complete submission is received. Claims requiring physical inspection, shipping or replacement inventory can take longer.
Sports Circuit will assist with reasonable follow-up but cannot guarantee the manufacturer's processing time, coverage decision or replacement availability.
